I found this photo frame at a flea market and bought it because I loved the feeling of old fashioned adventure in it. Travel during those times when no electronic devices helped people to navigate. A spyglass to see where the journey of exploration was leading to... Pair of compasses to measure distances on a map. What is written on that scroll? A bottle of ink and a quill. Old-fashioned spectacles. A pocket watch... Brings to mind Jules Verne's books.
The photo frame stood empty on my shelf for a long time. Then I visited the Egyptian Museum in Turin, Italy and sent a postcard from there. A lady entering the afterlife, meeting with Horus and Osiris. It fit perfectly to the frame.
The necklace hanging on the picture is the cartouche of Tutankhamun. I designed it myself. It reads Neb-Kheperu-Ra and means the Lord of the Manifestations of Ra.
Looking at this picture I feel like writing an old-fashioned travel adventure story. It certainly inspires me.
