Writer Envy

(United States)

Here's a line that I wish I'd written:
"I hate the moon—I am afraid of it—for when it shines on certain scenes familiar and loved it sometimes makes them unfamiliar and hideous."
From "What the Moon Brings" by H.P. Lovecraft

I've been considering making a Substack for sharing my work and seeing yours convinced me that it's the right move. I subscribed to your Substack, at the free level, unfortunately. I'm subscribed to multiple Substacks and I haven't yet achieved enough fame and wealth to be able to afford the paid subscriptions.

Hi!

Love that sentence!

Good to see you on Substack :) And I do make my posts free when possible, and they then change to paid for 5$ / month after a while so people have time to read them even if they cannot choose a paid subscription. Some I cannot put completely free (Like already published books as the great 'Zon might then punish me and make my books free, which is not a very good option if I wish to make some income from my writing LOL)

What is your Substack page name?

Leena :)
